About Justice Denied
When defense attorney Eve Brady is taken hostage by her drug-dealing client, she escapes into deep winter woods—only to discover that police have branded her a fugitive. Determined to prove her innocence, Eve must find the one investigator she may be able to trust: Detective Bob Milano. Their history is marked by suspicion, confrontation, and an attraction neither has explored.
As the manhunt closes in, Eve must convince Milano to help her before time runs out. Will justice be denied, or will Eve be cleared of wrongdoing?
What the Reviewer Loved
Nancy praised the novel's complex characters, descriptive narration, layered heroine, and tightly paced suspense. She highlighted the romantic tension between Eve and Bob as well balanced with the thriller plot, and described the story as sophisticated, realistic, and reminiscent of shows such as Furious and Presumed Innocent.
Justice Denied is Marle Berry's debut novel—and this review gives it a 5+ star rating.
